Easy Organic Sesame Seed Tahini Recipe

This Sweet or Savoury Tahini recipe, a North African sesame seed paste, is a great peanut butter hack or alternative. So if you are allergic to peanuts, and most kids are, here’s a delicious and wholesome alternative. It’s very versatile and can be a great addition or accompaniment for a variety of dishes.

Ingredients
- 1.0 tbsp Sesame Seed Oil
- 1.0 tbsp Honey
- 0.5 tbsp Cinnamon
- 0.5 tbsp Mixed Spices
- 0.5 tbsp Cumin
- 0.25 tbsp Nutmeg
- 0.25 tbsp Coriander
- 150g Sesame Seeds
Instructions
- Toast sesame seeds in hot pan until most are light golden brown (about 3 minutes).
- Leave aside unto completely cool :)
- Add into food processor and blitz on high setting until seeds start breaking down.
- Add sesame seed oil and blitz until it smooth. (Tahini must be smooth and dripping but If you like a chunky spread then leave thick and crunchy)
- Separate mixture into two, one for the sweet and the other for the savory.
- In sweet batch, add the honey, nutmeg and cinnamon.
- For the savory batch, add salt(to taste), coriander and cumin.
