Okra Recipe & Sadza

Ingredients

1 1/2 – 2 cups chopped okra
1 fresh tomato
2 birds eye chilli
1/4 cup spring onions
250 mls water
1/4-1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda

Directions

  1. Pour water and bring to boil
  2. Once boiled, add bicarbonate of soda and stir in to mix
  3. Add the chopped okra, onions and birds eye chilli
  4. Leave to boil for about 10 mins whilst stirring
  5. Add the fresh tomatoes, salt and stir in. Leave to cook for another 5 mins
  6. Leave to simmer for another 5 min then serve
