Ingredients

1 Cup Maize Meal
1/2 Lemon
Lemon Zest
Honey
Salt
Cold Water

Directions

  1. Fill 1/2 a small pot with cold water.
  2. Add 1 cup of Maize Meal to make a paste. We use Iwisa.
  3. Place on the hob at high heat.
  4. Stir until mixture starts to thicken to your desired consistency.
  5. If it’s too thick, add boiling water. Make sure the water is boiled.
  6. Leave to simmer for about 10 minutes.
  7. Serve in a bowl and add your honey, salt, lemon and lemon zest.
